Worn main "bull" gears can cause uneven play, grinding, shuddering, flutter, excessive noise, or simple inoperation
of Victor phonograph motors. The original design was made of soft brass, and was in fact a light duty part
doing a heavy duty job. Intermittent speed changes indicate a bad bull gear. Lots of chatter, flutter, and NOISE
indicate a badly worn governor drive gear. (see bottom of page for info on governor gears).

The NEW gears I provide are an improvement over the original design.
The quarter-sphere cuts have been eliminated to strengthen the gear, and the harder brass
is precision cut with modern gear cutting machinery. The fit is PERFECT.
